Sneaking into Shropshire by daffodill

Sneaking into Shropshire

Today was a beautiful blue sky morning I had a meeting in North Worcestershire.
By the time the meeting was over, sullen grey clouds were glowering at us in disproval!
We headed north into the lesser familiar territory of Shropshire. I say less familiar, but it's the second bit of Shropshire we have visited this year!
Time was getting on, so we stopped at a pub in Quatford for some lunch.
Close by was a church, stood on a small outcrop of red sandstone,
with a very interesting lift on front of it. Being not entirely decrepit we walked up the short flight of steps, and suddenly, the River Severn was in view. The sun broke through. It was quite difficult to see, as we were looking into the low winter sun, but I loved the way it brought to life the fresh greens of the river meadows. I had no idea that the people & horse were there! I suspect they had no idea that we were up on this small hill either!
Beautiful shot! I love all the layers. I love that little glimpse of the farm in the corner too. There is so much to enjoy here.
