Wandering around today, it was interesting to see how the winter white of snowdrops is being replaced by mauve crocus'. We discovered this stunning carpet of flowers in the churchyard at Bishops Frome in Herefordshire
Towards the rear of this shot, you can see some snowdrops are well past their best and co-ordinate well with the remaining fallen leaves from autumn.
Fabulous - a really lovely display. Somebody has asked if my Cambridge ones are wild and I wasn't sure what the answer was - I'm sure these mauve ones are wild types but do you think originally they were planted and then they spread?
