Prayer by daffodill

Prayer

Sometimes it feels like my prayers
are just words uttered
muttered
stuttered.

No response.
No reaction.
This irritates me
just a fraction.
Why don't you respond?
Can't you hear?
How do I know
that you are near?
If I lay here long enough,
will you appear?
Or are you silent and out of sight
having a jeer?

But the thought of no God,
is not one I can
comprehend.
So I will pray to you
until the bitter end.
I wait for the answers
which you will send.

Now all I need to do is listen,
and accept the answers you give,
whether they are
the words I want to hear, or not!

I have been there and felt like that. It is depression which causes it. I know now and if it happens I just pretend that I *am* aware of God because I *know* that it is my receiver which is faulty, not His.

Yes, He does listen to His children......I think He has three answers to us........yes, no, and wait. It's so difficult to know what His will is for us, but we have to seek Him every day and have blind faith.... LOVE your photo.
