This evening I led our evening service.
Normally I weave a service together, using prayers, music and liturgy from a variety of sources.
Tonight it was 'Evening Worship for the period leading up to Advent', straight from Common Worship - not my usual style of service at all.
We did have candles, however, and lit one to remind us of our faith journey through the dark winter months, and I then invited them to take a candle home with them, to remind them to let their light shine in the week ahead.
No use leaving Jesus in the church...
