The Blue Route

The reason for our visit to Brighton was to visit the Brighton Pavillion - a place I have wanted to visit ever since reading georgette Heyer novels as a teenager. The forecast was dry and mild, so we ended in in Brighton without coats on a cold and rainy day! Our arrival also coincided with the Brighton Festival - which I had never heard of!
Popped in to see this piece of art work as we were passing... I would have loved to have posted a photo of the Brighton Pavilion but no photograph aer allowed :( If you get the chance do visit - it is extraordinary!

Art work in Fabrica, a former Regency church in the centre of Brighton by Finnish artists Kaarina Kaikkonen.
Shirts donated by local residents were arranged to create this stunning effect. The yellow shirt in particular stood out. To me, the whole effect was like a giant wave!
I have been to the Brighton Pavillion many times - often accompanying school groups. It is certainly worth a visit - did you see the rats in the kitchens?

That is wonderful. I must go and look. Did you see the shirts on clock tower?

@jennymaidment Yep - we saw the clock tower ones - it was the first hint something was going on in town other than football!
