Comfort

Today was wet!
After lunch we visited St Mary's church, Warwick.
The 'welcomer' was a bit intimidating, and left me with a parting shot reminding me to donate money before I left :(
I sympathise - bills have to be paid, and if you are treating it as purely a tourist attraction - then yes it is right to seek a contribution. How do we reconcile a house of prayer with a tourist attraction?

I wanted to sense the feeling of being in a large church, representative of the presence of God, and was not particularly bothered by which Dudley's were buried, here, there, or somewhere...Having said that I was particularly liked this view and the sense of comfort, which this marble memorial conveyed. I particularly liked the juxtaposition of the candle.
