Another busy day and it was getting late as I headed out to an appointment. Not a single photo had been taken. On my way home, I passed the park with a lake and saw some ducks, so I stopped. The park is full of ballfields, so it wasn't busy late on a summer afternoon. I approached the ducks and Ibis. Instead of them flying away, they clearly expected me to provide them with food. I had none and they quickly tired of me. I took a few photos and a family arrived with an entire loaf of bread. About 6 pieces fell out of the bag and a quick swipe by one duck grabbed her prize and ran. I wasn't quick enough to capture her! But it was fun to watch the baby ducks, the Ibisand the many turtles in the lake. It was a nice break in the day.
That's the nice thing I'm finding about 365, even on a busy day I'd normally rush home and have some kind of busy evening, it forces me to stop, think, gather a moment, record it -- but I end up places or doing things I otherwise wouldn't do or see or pause to reflect on. Sounds like a nice moment in the park and you came away with a lovely picture too!
@anazad511@bardejov@lynnb@raineyday@ariel817 Thank you all for your nice comments. It does force us to get out and think of what might be lovely in our surroundings. Otherwise, I would not have stopped at the park. Created a few light hearted moments as I chatted with the family. The little girls were so precious feeding the birds, which is how I got so close! Spoiled birds!
