The Seminole Indians typically build these large outdoor huts that have a roof and open sides. The one we sat under yesterday was huge, at least 30'x30'. I was noticing the detail of the structure. The cross timbers are all trees. The roofs are thatched. I find them fascinating.
@lynnb Thanks, Lynn, the photo doesn't even pick up on all the amazing detail.
@anazad511 You love architecture, too! This one is in Boynton Beach: http://www.bedners.com/ I'd say to make a trip one day. It is a fascinating place, but you may have places similar in the Redlands or Homestead?
@rhoing Thanks, Thom. I was trying to get in as much of the structure as I could, so my emphasis was on the detail rather than a good photograph. Thanks for your comments!
