I find that people are so grumpy lately and it wears on me. I spent last evening with about 75 elementary age kids at our church's equivalent of Vacation Bible School. It's called "Amped" and it was, indeed, amped! There were about 300+ in all, but I followed this one group, photographing them. It was fun and stress relieving. Afterwards, I went to my favorite place to watch the show!
@danette That is truly remarkable. Bible schools in our area are just not drawing the numbers the way they used to. Too much competition from other summer activities, and not as many people able to volunteer.
@allie912 We hold ours at night (6-8:30). That frees up a lot more volunteers. Our church needs over 600 volunteers each weekend, so we have people ready to help. It is a huge effort, of course. Also, at night, there is less competition with other activities.
