I've always thought that cardinals were signs from my significant other that died almost 7 years ago. I have a wooden cardinal that his father made hanging by my front door. Today my best friend (who suffers from a brain disorder and she doesn't recognize anyone, nor can she talk or walk)'s husband suddenly died. Shocking. I watched this beautiful cardinal splash around in my recently unfrozen bird bath....just enjoying life. Wayne, I thought of you and miss your energy already.
