Since I'm still being careful with my knee, I took the monthly newsletter home with me to work on from my couch. I also took the flowers that my boss gave me in celebration for Administrative Assistant Week. They remind me that there is beauty in the world when everything seems so dark. My best friend, Karen, died yesterday after a long battle with colon cancer.
