gum tree flower by dianeburns

gum tree flower

Walked around outside this afternoon and found one of our gum trees was in flower, so here is my take on it. I think it looks like a painting.

Here is the collage of this flower http://365project.org/dianeburns/others-2014/2016-04-13

Lovely...I rotated my laptop to see it horizontally as well.

Gorgeous colour. I very much like the way you've captured the colour and given the whole a rather intriguing texture whilst at the same time retaining some of the flower's detail. It looks almost like fairy floss. Very late for a flowering gum, the ones round here have been and gone months ago.

@golftragic everything seems to flower much later here Marnie, I notice roses are in bloom a long time before here. This was the only gum in flower, I don't know what sort it was. We are on 5 acres and have numerous different natives, so are too big and create a lot of mess now, plus the grass doesn't grow where it used to!

It does look like a painting! Did you use a plugin software for this effect? Not that it matters, because the effect is outstanding! Well done!
