This was taken from the Queenscliff observation tower, looking back at the protected harbour and marina. Queenscliff is a beautiful coastal town about 40 minutes from where I live.
There are many, many shipwrecks near here, the entrance to here has a very treacherous rip, all ships need a pilot to board and get them safely through.
I like the shimmer on the water and the vertical lines (safety wire) added interest.
Another lovely Autumn day.
Thank you for taking the time to view and comment on my photos.
I like the way you've taken this shot straight into the sun. Makes for a lovely shimmer on the water. We'll be in Queenscliff on Friday to meet Les's brother and partner off the ferry and have lunch with them.
I like this. It is a very well proportioned shot and as you say, the shimmer on the water is very nice. The grid lines of the safety wire add interest as well
Fabulous view. We went on the ferry from Queenscliff to Sorrento the last time we were in Victoria but didn't have time to go up the observation tower.
Wonderful capture works well on black...We are heading out in May to Geelong so we will take this spot in...
