Happy 2016

I liked the contrast in the clouds, the slight pink spot to the right of the island and the patch of sunlight breaking thru on the left of the island. In order to get those 3 elements they way I saw them...I had to process it but see where it darkened the left lower corner. Thoughts?? Could I have done it differently? Probably with photoshop right?

I think the dark area adds to the drama of the shot; the black really contrasts with the white of the waves around it
