This morning started out quite busy. With only four days off a month, those four days being two weekends, my Wife and I have little time to spare if there is something that needs to be done around the house. Our schedule is pretty hectic, but we are thankful that we are able to work, and our health so far has been good, allowing us to work as much as we do. This weekend we had plans to finish painting the basement, and then take everything back down the steps where it will be stored for the next several years. The Grandkids were over, so of course we solicited their assistance. Not too many complaints since we took them out the past two nights for dinner, besides, I think they enjoyed it. We are almost finished, except for a few odds and ends which we will finish up tomorrow. It feels good knowing we were able to accomplish so much. That being said, I did not get out to take a photo today, so I decided to post this one which I took the other morning. It reminded me how calm everything was at first light, but that soon changed. Have a wonderful day.
This is very beautiful! A fav of mine too! : ) I have to agree with Vanya about the frame too.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing and also thanks for all your comments :P
a delicate, lacey silhouette. very beautiful. It always feels good to get things accomplished--especially when you get more done than you hoped for. The grandkids still got to spend time with you and that probably mattered more than the dinners.
This is beautiful Rick. I am always overcome with awe when I see the new day breaking. It's as if I'm seeing it for the first time and feel so blessed to see God's handywork once again.
Mornings are the best time of the day. And retirement has its advantages - days off and then more days off. 'Course we are busier now than when we both worked full time! Great shot!
I have such bad habits when it comes to morning light... I'm an owl. The past few mornings tho, I have had to get up early and realize the quietness that I'm missing. Perhaps it is time to turn my life upside down. I think it is cool that you enlisted the help of your grandkids in your project, too. They will hold things like that as fond memories.
You photograph is another amazing capture. It's simple, yet says so much.
This is beautiful and very calming, Rick. Thank you for all of your comments. Don't know if I will make it into the finals because there were so many fun shots this week, but I had fun and learned some new things. That makes me happy and grateful I can still learn and do new things.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing and also thanks for all your comments :P
