There is such a division among churches today, and though it's not new to man, it is still a topic that generates so much animosity between generations of people. The church should unite with the purpose of joining hearts and promoting a spirit of love as lived by the One who is credited for its origin. History does not have the power to erase the divisions, for only on that final day will the divisions be vanquished, and the right and wrong revealed. The hour we close our eyes to the world we know, the truth will be revealed. Till that day, we live according to our belief, and we stand strong. That is freedom of choice. Right or wrong, at the appointed hour, the truth will be revealed one final time, ready or not. We live and die according to our choice. But in spite of those differences, we should strive to live in harmony with each other, afterall, our example carries a great deal of power, more than any words we might speak.
Love the photo. I tried one this week but ended up canning it because I wasn't happy with it.
I've always found the division of churches amazing but the older I"ve gotten the more I've understood it. Some of the differences in belief are pretty fundamental. But a little harmony and understanding goes a long way.
Very true about examples... Very true we should love and respect one another for the individual, and extend that to their held beliefs. We just may learn something. Thank you for your comment, I could ask as it was a gift. The person who got it for me was in either Tanzania or Madagascar.
This church has nice lines on construction. And I like the lines of commentary you have posted. Instead of fighting and speaking ill of others on a personal basis, I think more people would be postively influence if we heeded HIS words of "By this shall all people know that you are my disciplines, in that you have Love one for the other".
I really like the way you processed this. The tree almost looks like a spring blossoming tree, the way the light highlights the tips.
The kind of picture I can stare at for a long time. It's a FAV!
very good insight Rick, it's so true, and I more than agree with you. :)
I love the achietecture of this building and the processing gives it this antique feel! wonderful capture! :D
hey Rick - I'm really slow (the Dutch in me means my humour gene is defunct or missing altogether) but I just 'got' your nice editing on the cockroach! ... thanks as I got a laugh just now at my thickness and your humour. call by again and 'take the piss' out of me - that will keep me on my toes.
I couldn't agree more with you Rick and I find it such a shame as it puts a lot of people off attending a church or even believing because what they see is this line and not what christianity is all about...man has managed to ruin one of God's greatest gifts to us again. For similar reasons I am growing spiritually through a small group as I got burned by my last church very badly after there was a big change. Before that though I was a key co-ordinator of ALPHA (introduction to christianity) you can google it...and although our church were the registered runners of the course we contacted other denominations in the area and ended up with 5 (Baptist, Church of Christ, Lutheran, Catholic and Anglican) all joining together with us and it was so powerful for people to see the different denominations working together as it should always be they were very sucessful courses. Stunning photo too :) Sorry about the longwinded reply...
Gorgeous! Fabulous job processing. Your words are very true! My daughter just found a wonderful church and I'd love to hear more about it from her. She said it is people of all faiths under one roof. That sounds ideal to me!

PS Thank you for all of your kind comments. It really is nice to see them :-)
I have so much to learn.
