"Through the Miracle Of Your Creation, May We Find Beauty Even In The Simplest Things." (Rick Schies)
When I arrived home from work I was greeted by our two, overly excited Yorkies, Toby and Kiko. They do it all the time. We can be gone five minutes and they act the same way. No comprehension of time. Oh to be missed with such intensity. It does one's heart good. While they were outside doing their "thing" i noticed a few leaves scattered about in the yard. I picked this one up and held it in my hand. As I looked at it I couldn't help think about nature's cycle of life. Take this simple leaf, even by itself, it has its own unique beauty, even as it is dying. Isn't creation marvelous?
As William Blake wrote:
To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.
creation is SO marvelous! And, think about it. That leaf is beautiful by itself.....through life, and its death. Combine that leaf with a million others to form a tree......even prettier! I love how sometimes that alone a person is beautiful (everything is beautiful, because He made it) but, put that person, amongst friends or family, and really watch how beautiful they get when they "come alive" . With laughter, smiles, hugs....I just love it! Beautiful photo Rick!
im loving your quote rick! .....goes with a beautiful photo!!! hugs and kisees for toby and kiko for me ... heheand thanks again for your wonderful comment RE wear purple .... =)
Beautiful! God sure is the Master of all creation and I love all the beauty he's created around us. I also completely understand being greeted by excited Yorkies, we had three when I was growing up, such personality and yes super excited whenever you'd arrive home. I loved it! My husband and I are looking at getting one too. :)
If I read no one else's captions ( which I really do try and read them all) I am always sure to read yours. You are like my daily devotional and I LOVE IT! Thank you for your doses of refreshing reminders of life, time, love and God!
GORGEOUS color! It's SO amazing how beautiful nature is...but then again, it's no surprise since the Maker of such items is pretty friggin' awesome!
LOVE this - and I agree on all points - yes, the simple things are best (I recently posted a shot of cookies and milk with the same idea in mind, in memory of a friend of mine who was a brain tumor survivor for 14 years) - the unconditional love from a pet is incredible! - and yes, creation is amazing - great shot, and great commentary =)

And so true about our furkids! Nobody in the world thinks so highly of us as they do. Unconditional love in its purest form!
