Ok, l so I am not totally gone, yet. I may need to go n the patch in order to quit, LOL. You guys and gals overwhelmed me with all your comments. So until I get focused on a new project I might continue to post. No promises though.
I had an all day meeting today at work, and till the meeting ended at about 4:30pm, I was beat. Once I arrived home, had a bite to eat, I thought, why not go out for a nice relaxing stroll around the lake. No pressure now to find a photo for today. I had a nice evening stroll in the heat and humidity. Got back home, puppies went a little crazy, took them outside, came back in, grabbed a good cold glass of home made mint tea, and then I made the big mistake. I signed on, went to my e-mail, and was surprised, and overwhelmed to find a bunch of e-mail notifications re: all the postings for yesterday's photo. This is probably where the patch comes in. I had to go and check it out. Holy cow guys and gals, I had a bunch of comments, and had 24 FAVs. I couldn't believe it. You are all unbelievable.
I looked through the photos I had taken out by the lake, and I kept coming back to this one. It represents where I am right now. I have several ideas of what I want to do, the main one, getting back to writing. There are others, but they come and go. So this photo is a fairly accurate depiction of where I am, focused on one, and trying to focus on others.
Thanks a bunch for all your wonderful comments. They truly touched my heart.
This is lovely! I am glad you are still posting! I look forward to reading your first book of poetry, along with your photography when it happens for you!
What a nice way to look at things from a new perspective. Green is a color of promise. I'm glad you're not gone yet! Lovely shot. (And we all meant every word!!)
Great to see your name up again Rick ! After doing this project 365 days it will be very hard to break the habit unless you are very very busy methinks !!!! I love the focus on this one & it is something I am hoping to learn soon !
Very touching commentary Rick! And a lovely shot to boot! Hope you will stick with this....possibly without the obsession to force yourself to take one every day..... :)
I think it is wonderful that you have rediscovered a previous passion but I hope you will continue to cultivate the photographic arts. After all, you want to be well rounded, right?
I love how this photo exactly matches where you are right now, in between projects! All those comments were very heartfelt. This place just wouldn't be the same without you. So stay away from that patch and enjoy going through the photos with your granddaughter.
Aww, see, there you go. 365 is such a nice community, it's hard to leave it. I did the same. Glad you're going to continue at your own pace, it would be sad to see you leave completely.
I didn't cry when you said you had to go off into another direction, even for awhile I could understand, as I had to do so. But I am crying now that you are staying awhile longer, or even every other day, we need your philosophy so much in this day and age. I think you are on even keel as my beastie. Thank you for posting today.
Love the lighting of this one.
