I spotted this empty nest while out on my walk at lunch time. Still neatly tucked in between the branches, and obviosly untouched by the recent hurricane winds and rain.
I can just imagine the advertising in the bird world: a wonderful location in a tree - lodged between two strong branches and perfectly located just out of reach of any cat around the area. Has survived Hurricane Sandy very well and is a great fixer-upper... for any bird family who wants to move in right away!
I love bird's nests, so this is a fave for me. I used to collect them, but they were so hard to dust. I really like that you captured a little leaf color in this one too. I just noticed you posted this on the 8th. Hope all is well and that you are just busy like me.
Not sure you got my other message. We have been out of town visiting with Terry & his Wife. I decided to take a break while away. Everything is fine. Thanks for checking. @lauriehiggins
I didn't get your other message, but thank you so much for letting me know. I'm glad you took a break. We all need them at times. You met with Terry? 365 Terry? That is so cool!
