Hanging On to The Old by digitalrn

Hanging On to The Old

It's amazing what we have today when it comes to technology, and interesting to look back from where we have come. Some things are hard to let go completely.
I still have my 35mm cameras!

I used my last Canon A1 and lenses as part of the deal that enabled me to get my new Olympus micro 4/3 camera system.

No need to let go! I still have my dad's Canon AE1 with all his lenses and camera toys. I'll never part with it either. Really cool shot, Rick!

Love this! My first 35mm camera was a Pentax and I loved it. But thank goodness we don't have to deal with film any more!

That is a piece of treasure! And you do wonder how much things will change in another decade!
But we don't have the paper trail of photos any more and I think we are losing out by using digital such a lot; I must start having selected ones printed again!

I love this for the theme. I was going to suggest it until I checked your tags! Great shot!

I still have my 35mm too, but I am so spoiled at being able to shift from b/w to sepia to color with the push of a button that it's hard for me to pull it out and use it once in a while. I like how you shot this in sepia- giving it a nice nostalgic feel.

I have my father's 35mm still. From 1975.

It IS hard to let go of certain things!!! I have kept some old cameras too :)

I'll bet it wasn't even that many years ago. Amazing how quickly things change.

Beautiful processing. Great shot!

@peggysirk

some of us, believe it or not, still chose to deal with it. My Canon 550D sits in a cupboard unused, I use film for its better qualities and lovely feel. Millions do.

@chewyteeth My husband would agree with you...he uses my old Pentax. He's one of the millions. :)
