Reminds me of an episode of Tracks Ahead where a gentleman has his huge HO layout in the upstairs of a barn. The barn has no exterior windows so when his friends show up to work on the layout, there are all these cars around the barn and not lights. For some reason, they had some lights on with all the cars around. The local sheriff passed by and thought that it was unusual, call it in, the chief went out to inspect what was going on, needless to say, now the chief and members of the department show up to help work and operate the layout. (as I recall the story)
