September 5th, 2012
I just found this.... wonder how well it works?! lol

... iQuit...
September 5th, 2012
srsly? why? why why why why? why on EARTH would i do this?

@grizzlysghost exactly!!!!!
September 6th, 2012
I feel like I have just been slapped in the face.
September 6th, 2012
I really don't understand the hate here...
September 6th, 2012
lol. There is something so hilarious about that. xD Sorry, but an iPhone is an iPhone and will never be a DSLR. xD
September 6th, 2012
Really this is not that odd... it is basicly a mirrorless camera... think NEX or other system... pretty smart really...
September 6th, 2012
not any worse than this...
September 6th, 2012
@grizzlysghost @northy turn your iPhone into an FSLR (film SLR), now I'd like to see that!
September 6th, 2012
@peterdegraaff no... now see - if i were going to try film (which i just might one of these days - for fun doncha know), and if i were gonna make my own, i would start with a shoebox or a tin can or somepin more mundane... besides - with my luck, i'd have everything hooked up to my iphone when the call comes in to tell that i've won a million dollars in the lottery ;p

but srsly... what exactly does one gain from this contraption? i'd still have to carry around the lens and the adaptor, both of which cost beaucoup de bucks... and while i am sure there is an app for that, i can't imagine one would have the controls one has on a dslr... so again, while i get the inguinity cool factor, i'm not sure what one gains... @icywarm
September 6th, 2012
I thought it looked a bit awkward to hold.
September 6th, 2012
@northy If we ever get paired up for a challenge you might be buying a film camera for $50 or less and taking a roll.
BTW I have a little telephoto lens for the iPhone but it is a novelty. For the money that can be spent on conspicuous phone consumption I could buy more cameras.
September 6th, 2012
@peterdegraaff excellent... then at least i will have someone other than myself to blame ;p
September 6th, 2012
@peterdegraaff Do it Peter! Same goes for me @northy ... but wait... don't you control the randomizer? ;-)
September 6th, 2012
@grizzlysghost @northy @trbo @manek43509 @pocketmouse @icywarm @peterdegraaff @onie

I find that whole IPHONE into a DSLR pretty humorous and quite awkward. lol I can just picture someone pulling that out of there pocket and a big event or race! haha I dont think itll last.
September 6th, 2012
@grizzlysghost @northy @peterdegraaff I think it is completely fun but overpriced. I am just thinking that I would need an iphone dslr tripod just to be able to focus the lens.
September 6th, 2012
@grizzlysghost shhhhhh! i'm trying to maintain some personal integrity here! ;p
September 6th, 2012
@northy integrity?!!!! @brumbe @grizzlysghost
September 6th, 2012
@cvanheel I am amused at the size of many DSLRs to begin with, especially as I am a M43 Olympus user and don't suffer lens envy. @northy @brumbe @grizzlysghost @onie
September 6th, 2012
@peterdegraaff I think photojojo hates the likes of us.
September 6th, 2012
@brumbe I have a photojojo account, because I like some of their things, but then again lofico sells film much cheaper
September 6th, 2012
@cvanheel Sorry about all this. Makes one feel small for running across an article someone else might enjoy.
September 6th, 2012
Noticed this was for Nikon and Canon lenses.... I find most users of these products buy things because they are "cool" and "hip" so they prolly own iPhones anyway....

sucks to be them.
September 6th, 2012
No, no, no - I love my iPhone for what it gives me, but I also love my Fuji X100 and my Nikon DSLR - all for different things and occasions.
September 6th, 2012
@grizzlysghost @peterdegraaff @northy @bobfoto I have the gorillapod... best be getting an iPhone so I can get the lens doobalacky to transform said iPhone into a DSLR... right?? teehee... NOT!

@bobfoto Wonder if you get this contraption the capture of in flight hummingflies would be made easier?? HAHAHA.
September 6th, 2012
Umm pretty sure unless you can put a mirror and prism into an iphone it can never be called a dslr lol.
September 6th, 2012
@ozziehoffy Why not inflight frogs
@soia a pentaprism could be just the thing for authenticity
September 6th, 2012
@peterdegraaff @bobfoto ... inflight frogs hey... lol. Hmmmm.
September 6th, 2012
Cheez.. That a bit extreme innit.
September 7th, 2012
@peterdegraaff @ozziehoffy - Hummingflies ROCK!
September 7th, 2012
@bobfoto @ozziehoffy you can keep the blowies in Qld. Beautiful one day...
September 7th, 2012
@bobfoto @peterdegraaff lol Peter... Hummingflies are FAR from blowies!!! Right, Jason?
September 7th, 2012
@peterdegraaff @ozziehoffy - with the risk of repeating myself.... Hummingbirds ROCK!
September 7th, 2012
@bobfoto BAHAHAHAHAH... did you read what you wrote??? BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
September 7th, 2012
@ozziehoffy @bobfoto Buzzing hums fly.
September 7th, 2012
@peterdegraaff @bobfoto Could be fuzzy bums bzzzz....
September 7th, 2012
@peterdegraaff @ozziehoffy - This thread is officially Hijacked.
September 7th, 2012
September 7th, 2012
@bobfoto @peterdegraaff LOL I was thinking that after my last comment!! Who wants to go to Cuba though, Peter!?
September 7th, 2012
@peterdegraaff @ozziehoffy - I'd go to Cuba with camera in tow.
September 7th, 2012
@ozziehoffy @bobfoto I do, particularly in April. Would enjoy the rum, might take up cigar smoking again, listen to salsa and maybe do some dancin.
September 7th, 2012
@peterdegraaff - I'm tired of the city life... summer's on the run....
September 7th, 2012
@bobfoto you can say that again @ozziehoffy
September 7th, 2012
A bit much.... sensor size, for one, will keep the iphone from ever becoming a dslr. And if you feel like hauling your big lens, why not the camera as well? iphone is great for what it is, but I'd personally never use a dslr lens on it, even if the adapter were free.
September 8th, 2012
@soia That is EXACTLY what I thought.
