The art of peeping: photography at the limits of privacy.

I found this article in The Guardian (UK) today really interesting, thought I'd share. What are your views?

This photographer took some artistic looking photos. However, if someone took pictures of me like this, I would call this an invasion of privacy.

A difficult one there, if a painter was to sit and paint what he saw would this still offend? What does bother me is that he took images of children, thats crossing the line in my opinion as they would have been at home, not out in the street. Thanks for sharing though.

@lorrainerb I agree with everything you said! I don't think a painting would be looked at the same! I would be much more upset at a photo of my child being taken then of myself, it is very much crossing the line.

In my opinion its very simple... if you don't want people looking into your home, put blinds up! I am not about to go around photographing people at home, but likewise, I accept that if I do not have blinds in my windows I have no way of stopping people looking in and shouldnt complain if they do!
