For anyone frustrated (understandably) by Quora's ridiculous requirement for you to have an account before you can view the page fully, this link should allow you to view the answers without signing up:
This was actually my first post (and virtually my last) on Quora, prompted by their weekly e-mail containing topics that might be of interest. I never really expected it to go anywhere, but astonishingly, when the stats were last compiled in August, this answer was the 175th highest voted answer on the entire site (which is a general question-and-answer site, not just related to photography).
Anyone can add a photo if they want to, although I'd advise that (as with most social networks), including a good writeup as well as a good photo will increase the chances of a strong response.
