Just in case there are any other 1D-X users out there, Canon have released v2.0.3 firmware upgrade for your 1D-X. The blurb says:
"Firmware Update Version 2.0.3 is a multi-faceted update that improves operation of Canon's flagship EOS-1D X DSLR camera across the board. Incorporating feedback from professional users, Firmware Update Version 2.0.3 improves AF accuracy in low-light situations and enhances user control of AF shooting parameters. It also enables more control of exposure by incorporating wider ISO ranges in automated shooting modes and allows for more precise user customization for faster, more intuitive and adaptable performance tailored to the photographer's needs."
@kazlamont Thanks Kazzy/ I like to tell potential users of firmware upgrades because sometimes they can really boost the performance of a given camera. For instance, way back in the early part of the year, the EOS 7D got an amazing firmware upgrade that introduced a large number of important extras. Not that I care because I offloaded my sh*tty 7D shortly after the upgrade and got the 1D-X instead (and have never looked back)
@jbucovetsky Thanks Jeff. I came into a small sum of money and where the 7D had given me so much grief, I decided to part exchange it for a 1D-X. I believe that the expression is "turning a frown upside down". The joy came back into my life and once again photography became a pleasure rather than a Herculean task. Ask my wife - she was driven to distraction by my mood when I had my cr@ppy 7D.
Ps ...I need an upgrade :p
Use it in good health.
