Railway in Wartime re-enactment event

October 4th, 2014
The annual re-enactment of the 'Railway in Wartime' takes place at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway in Pickering, North Yorkshire from 10 -12th October.

Whilst this steam railway may be more familiar to most as the location of some of the scenes from the Harry Potter movies, the WW2 event has grown on a huge scale in recent years. I made my first visit to it last year. As a result, I got to create some award-winning images, for which I have won trophies at my camera club.

One has been published as marketing material by the NYMR. Yesterday I negotiated for the Station Shop to stock greetings cards with 3 of my images on!

I recommend it to anyone near enough to make the journey. Here is one of my successful images...
