Here's one I just started with a co-worker: http://takechargeladies.wordpress.com/
It's a supportive and inspirational blog for young women. Though it's not photography based, I've been thinking of not using stock photos and taking my own.
Anyone have their own blog (personal or photography) ? I'd love to follow. :)
Here is my youngest sons one ( http://themilkgremlinslittleblog.blogspot.com/) which needs updating and has a few gaps in, I've tried to upload at least one photo a week of his first year.
I have a travel blog: www.experience-collector.blogspot.com
Suggestion: Go to Sept 2009 and read: "Making Sense of Your Vacation" - first before you read anything else .... you'll understand how I 'see' the world and my writings will make more . . . sense. Each post is completely different as I'm still trying various ways to write.
Last year's private 365 (did not know about THIS project and thought I was being totally original): www.snapshot-collector.blogspot.com Started on 1st Jan 2010 and ended Dec 31st 2010. A mix of travel and daily routines with haiku's to match.
and finally -
I've started writing short stories: www.short-story-collector.blogspot.com
Any form of constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated - it's the only way I will learn. :)
@itszaiii As an ex graphic designer ... your layout and design is lovely and clean and easy to read. Brief and to the point which I think is perfect for young people who want to get up and go! I think it's a brilliant idea and wish you all the success and following you and your partner could wish for. :)
@manek43509 LOL I really enjoyed some of your complaining as you put it. Great commentary on life. It's the small every-day things that can be extremely funny when looked at twice.
My current blog is interesting mainly to family and friends. But the blog I kept while we lived in Uganda for 2 years has received a lot of compliments. http://volunteersabroad.blogspot.com/
I am totally new to it & haven't even really put it out there yet. Mostly random thoughts in my head & my 365 pics with more info & family stuff. I am thinking as the camping season starts I may do some reviews on some campgrounds we go to since people are always asking how we liked this or that place & if we'd recommend. http://mikichelle.blogspot.com/2011/01/in-my-world.html
@coolgirlsar What a lovely fresh way to record the history of your children! When they're older they'll have it all there on www and not just a shoebox of old crumpled photos and trinkets! Awesome.
@manek43509 Ha! The karaoke one was pretty funny. :) @coolgirlsar Oh please, "young woman" is a state of mind ;) hehe @thebluegnu You made my day! I designed it to look like an online magazine/newspaper and thought I could write forever, I know people, especially young people, won't read past a couple paragraphs. Thanks for the feed back. Very good to know.
My photoblog is http://urbanbuda.wordpress.com, I post the photos from here but also photos that I liked bit didn't quite make the grade. Anyone can go there and rate the pictures which I appreciate as it gives me an idea what people like. Because as I've found out that what I like isn't generally what others like and vica a versa.
Mine is http://eatinglikeatwoyearold.blogspot.com. Nothing to do with photography though :) It's healthy and clean recipes I share that my 2 year old son actually enjoyed. A way to give out some ideas for parents that are as concerned with how their children eat as I am.
I started a blog when we rescued our lab. He was very much a "Marley and Me" kind of crazy dog, and we had never had a dog before, let alone an adolescent rescue, so it was fun to write about. The writing has definitely slowed down now that we've had him a year. http://www.alongcamebrutus.com
I also have a photo blog where I put a few more photos than I do on here, and sometimes I put shots of how I've taken the photos, because the set up is usually so unglamourous. http://sheripetersonsphotos.com
@thebluegnu My eldest son Callum loves reading his blog, we sit cuddled up and go back over days years ago. I actually feel really bad I haven't added to it in ages, need to rectify that. But thank you. I have way too many boxes with things in, when they both reach something like 18 or 21 I want to get their blogs pritned and made into a book for them at a keepsake but I'll always keep these as well.
@annielf Looking forward to sitting down with a cuppa and to go through your blog. I'm also a volunteer and travel a lot - it's one way of seeing the world and giving back at the same time. I'm trying to collect as many experiences as possible.
@thebluegnu what countries have you lived in as a volunteer? I loved our 2 years in Uganda. My hub was the volunteer but I went along and did a bit of helping out with computer training.
@itszaiii One I started to journal the 30 days of traveling around the US I did last year ( http://30daysoftravel.com). Then there's http://onedaystop.com which is a local edition of places to see in the SF Bay Area I recently started. And then the companion 365 project site ( http://jeancarl.com) which has extra photos I take each day.
@annielf I travel on an SA passport so 90 days is my visa limit then I have to move on again. I left in June 2009 and returned home May 2010 - visiting Spain (Pueblo Ingles - English conversation to business people - awesome stuff), then 3 months in the Yucatan teaching English to the staff at an Eco resort (I was the only English speaking person there and it was in the middle of nowhere) - awesome again!!! ... and then I did 2 months at a research centre in Arizona where I got to microchip rattle snakes, catch humming birds, searching for Cooper's Hawk nests, etc - housekeeping cooking and office duties. I'm planning my next trip now - hopefully leaving in June again.
I have a blog too! It's mostly been about my life recently, but it's also about my dolls, painting them, and photographing them. I used to post a lot of art but I haven't been in a drawing mood for over a year. http://pikakao.livejournal.com/
I have a blog that is about me and my life (terribly exciting) and hoping to help others with it but once a week I link to another site and post a week's worth of 365 Project. Hers is http://www.motheringmayhem.com/
It's mainly me complaining about things... :)
Here is my eldest sons one ( http://littlemonstercallum.blogspot.com/) which is terribly out of date.

@itszaiii Interesting blog... although I don't think I'm a young woman anymore. lol.
