I read that they were actually two people that got ran over by police and he had fallen on top of her, the photographer wanted to capture the moment (apparently the girl was hurt) but his editor said they were kissing instead. I don't remember where I read it though...
@smapp Even if it were staged, still amazing. There are so many moments in life, sometimes you see them, sometimes you're in them and you know that they would make for a strange/curious/spectacular photo...
@meggageg Haha I didn't even see the link maybe thats where I read it =]. But it is very interesting how people can see the same picture in such different ways
@ibelayni He is a Perth boy from Australia - so our local paper had a big thing on it - they were knocked down, she landed head first and he sort of half on top of her - he gave her "its ok I am here kiss" and that is what the photographer Richard Lam caught - it is a brilliant shot and capture...
I saw this yesterday... I love it, it's some mixture of adorable and sad all together. Great shot.

it is certainly a case for always be prepared with your camera,talk about perfect timing of a shot, it is very emotive and reminds me of the slogan,make love not war
