Gotta feel a bad for her Dad. Plus, who says 'cardinal' rules can't be broken!

I reckon they're sweet :)

Glad they did this! Family shots are not meant to be scrutinzed ;)

they are sweet shots and although not pro, who cares, they are a down to earth couple and this reinforces it

@sassyinma Unless you are the heir to the throne! I'm OK with this as long as they get some prefessionally taken of course. ;-)

It's a photo of his family... Scrutinised by people who are annoyed they didn't get to do it!

Still, the BBC have been helpful: http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-magazine-monitor-23769728

I've bookmarked it for when #3 arrives in November!

I think they are nice photographs even if they're not technically perfect! We've all taken pics of our family that are great for memories and perhaps not perfect pictures but who cares!

@jwlynn64 Heir to throne or not, this was an awesome move! They probably adore these pics more than any professional ones because they were done out of love. I'm sure we'll see "real professional" ones eventually ;)

I don't really like that Snowden one of Princess Di and Charles and baby.

I think they're just fine. The second one (without the dogs) would be a pretty decent shot with a little bit of adjustment to lighten up the people. I think he did a fine job for a point and shoot with the light behind them!

And really, I totally see why they didn't get someone in to do pro photos - this is probably one of few times in their lives when they can hide away from the public eye a bit and pretend to just be a normal family, enjoying their first baby!
