I loved this one and it had far less interest than I thought but I know that it happens and I am doing this for myself more than anything so as long as I love it that's all that matters :) @michellegaynor love that reflection one, very clever and your first shot is really sweet
@jo365 I agree with you completely that we do this for ourselves but putting it on a public forum, that suggests we want some feedback? Even if it is just "nice pic" (thank you @motorsport !) so when you produce something you deem lovely and no one notices, don't you feel a little sad?
@michellegaynor I think it's timing sometimes. I notice that photos posted on the weekend or on Friday (don't forget there's a time difference too) don't get viewed as much probably because people are just busy! Both of these photos of yours are gorgeous--I do love the sweetness in the kitty/little girl photo and the reflections/refractions in the other are stunning.
Flamez - love that one - the droplets are brilliantly caught. I'm new - just signed up yesterday and have uploaded my January shots so far. I completed a 365 in 2010 - I must be mad! - sbut essentially I do the 365 so I can look back and remember what happened over the year but of course comments are lovely too!
(I like the focus on this one, although people did comment on it until I deleted all my photos to re-upload, am sure I have some complusion thing going on, i think I deleted my photos and re-uploaded them a few times before i stuck)
(I like the eyes of Mya, her eyes came out blue, because she is blind)
(I like the way all the rats are climbing over the side of the sofa)
(I just think it looks cute with the way he is looking at the camera)
(Again I love the focus and with the way her paw is blocking the sun)
I'm still really surprised how well this came out, and i wanted to put it on because i thought it was different to the usual, no matter how much I love cats, kids and sunsets I'm always looking for stuff thats different.
This one got noticed by a few, and fav'd by 1....but I love this picture so much. Maybe the magnitude of the statue isn't fully appreciated because of the way I shot the photo - but this guy is 38 feet tall. I think this shot looks professional, and I certainly am not :)
This was the first shot I purposely took for this project, and I was so very proud with how it turned out. But I didn't get much feedback. To be honest I don't get that much as it is, but that in a way that does make me treasure all the comments I do get.
I love white lillies and I took such pains to include the shadow of the stamens on the petals, get the focus and lighting right on this, but it go very few comments and not many views either.
@brionygrace Very cool poppins film scene - could almost be Sound of Music, but she didn't carry the brolly in that! Love the atmosphere of this. Are you up on a roof?!
@maccaveen
Been there with no comments, it doesn't bother me seems there is a lot of people that don't step out of box, and don't seem to appreciate when others do.
I had been playing with the macro settings on my cell phone, and got this shot in the car.. it doesn't have a single comment, but I was pretty proud at the time!
There are some really great shots here!!
I think this one is mine. I love the serious look in his eyes. I am a bit partial I know, but I see pure beauty in this little face.
Great thread! This is one of my favorites of all time and nobody said a thing. It didn't turn out exactly true to how it looked because I had to use my phone camera. But that's my own fault. I saw it every morning for a couple of weeks and kept forgetting to bring my good camera. But I still think it is very pretty. The beams of light catching the dust off the dirt road do something to my heart every time I see this picture.
Maybe not the greatest photo ever, but I really liked the perspective and the shadow on the wall. I didn't get too many comments on it, but that's ok. :-) I still like it!
I was quite proud of this one when I took it but only got one comment. Maybe because it was only my second shot, but still, it's so rare to get so many black swans together like this.
This was one of my favorite, and some I care for less for have had more attention, but then again, as i am slowly learning, pictures uploaded around midnight PST will go unnoticed cause everybodys sleeping, like i should haha
When I saw this I, at least, thought, "Great! It's not just me," because I see that others found themselves in that odd position where they were doing it for them but were disappointed by a lack of feedback. Especially since I didn't even join looking for it to start with. Very strange way to think, that. I was especially proud of this photo. Like REALLY proud of it! I'm not a photographer, but I'm trying to improve.
I try and look at it this way, as I am sure many others do as well. Number of comments and favd does not always equal a great photo. Some of my photos that I hate will sometimes get more buzz than say this one here. It really is hit or miss, I think, and although I get excited when I get comments, don't let that be the final judgment call as to whether the photo is good or not.
I've got loads that have no comments....I just thought they probably weren't as good as I thought they were lol...but I'm happy with them and that's what counts, right? Ha ha ha!
Love this one... and surprised that it has 55 views... funny my least favorite it getting slammed with wonderful compliments and views.... LOL But I must remember I'm doing this for my own enjoyment.
This is one that grew on me, though it was a late night desperation shot at my boyfriend's house. A coworker loved it and got it as a Christmas present.
It's not my favorite picture that I've taken but when I got it on the computer screen, I thought the different colors of wood on the 2 different sections of fence was beautiful.
Has to be this one. I know I got a couple comments but nothing like I expected I suppose. I think it is just about my perception of this pic though. To me the reflection in the center looked like an angel, I can even see the little halo above it LOL (totally accidental nothing photoshopped or staged) & at the point I took it it was extremly meaningful to what was happening to me & I suppose that is why I expected more. Other than my perceived angel I guess it is just mediocre for what it is.
I'm so glad I found this discussion! Not just because I took what I thought was my best photograph of all time and haven't gotten much feedback or many views, but also because I'm discovering all sorts of gorgeous pictures from others. Here is my absolute favorite of all the photos I've ever taken. It doesn't hurt that it's one of the few pictures of me where I don't look like an alien.
I spent ages getting this shot together and it didn't get a single comment
but then this shot that took seconds earned me my second ever photo that was fav'd
Just shows that sometimes we are not as in tune with the idea as we thought maybe?
I really liked this photo and from a weak start in January I thought this was one of the better ones but it received not a single comment :(
@sophiesproject I saw that photo when I was looking through your album for a browse and pic and it caught my attention as I took a very similar picture
Love this one of the cat and the sleeping girl
of mine possibly this one :
(I like the focus on this one, although people did comment on it until I deleted all my photos to re-upload, am sure I have some complusion thing going on, i think I deleted my photos and re-uploaded them a few times before i stuck)
(I like the eyes of Mya, her eyes came out blue, because she is blind)

One of my personal favorites that no one ever seems to notice.
This is one of my favs that has gotten very few looks. I love looking at my phot0 stats and wonder what makes people click on something or pass it by!
i love this picture but have no clue why lol
This, because I really like how the post processing turned out.
I'm still really surprised how well this came out, and i wanted to put it on because i thought it was different to the usual, no matter how much I love cats, kids and sunsets I'm always looking for stuff thats different.
I love this song, it has a very personal meaning, but the photo didn't get much attention.
I loved them... I don't think anyone else did ):
@misschuff thanks a bunch!
i love this!! nobody elses seems to though :(
This is one of a few that I wish had gotten more notice
Been there with no comments, it doesn't bother me seems there is a lot of people that don't step out of box, and don't seem to appreciate when others do.
and
but it was lost i guess in the crowd of photos
I think this one is mine. I love the serious look in his eyes. I am a bit partial I know, but I see pure beauty in this little face.
And this one, was for sure please with it. Again, one I love so I can't complain. But definitely didn't get the response I thought it might.
I was quite proud of this one when I took it but only got one comment. Maybe because it was only my second shot, but still, it's so rare to get so many black swans together like this.
i knew as soon as i took this one that i loved it. i was so proud of it, and it went virtually unnoticed. oh well. i still love it.
This was one of my favorite, and some I care for less for have had more attention, but then again, as i am slowly learning, pictures uploaded around midnight PST will go unnoticed cause everybodys sleeping, like i should haha
and
and
;-)
I don't know why, but I really like this photo!
I love this picture.. I thought more people would comment but its one that has gone past unnoticed.
I try and look at it this way, as I am sure many others do as well. Number of comments and favd does not always equal a great photo. to be fair I only posted this one today....lol!
I really liked this one...and got just a few views and no comments. It just makes me feel like a girl. :)
Love this one... and surprised that it has 55 views... funny my least favorite it getting slammed with wonderful compliments and views.... LOL But I must remember I'm doing this for my own enjoyment.
@celticmystyc that reminds me so much of almost famous (my favorite movie). it must be the glasses.
and this one:
and kinda this one
but none of my photos have many comments so maybe I just need to get to know more people on here, haha.

This one. No one's really noticed it yet, but I was very pleased with the composition, the depth of color, and the focus.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the windows.
only because, if yo actually look closely, you can see down the entire barrel of the gun :)
I had a blast making this shot.
I thought this one would be more popular than it turned out to be. :)
and I think it's quite special
the first "proper" pic I got with my camera
One of my all time favorite shots of mine, only viewed 84 times :(
I tried many times before I got this and I was so proud of it! I thought everyone would love it as much as I do, but alas, not one comment!
Yes it got some views but I suppose I just expected more of a response. Oh well it was good for the over exposed theme.
This one...makes me drool everytime I look at it. Lol.
but then this shot that took seconds earned me my second ever photo that was fav'd

the idea of this was my fav.
