I want lots of critique on my photos! I started this project uploading through Facebook but I had no idea a site like this existed! It was a spontaneous project and now I still continue to do it, since January 1st!
Anyways, before I upload and catch all my photos up to current time, what can I do to get more followers on here to see the photos?
I don't mean to sound like all I want is attention. I don't really own a nice camera or know much about photography but I try and learn to get better shots of something I like (that has me in it) without all those accessories. Everyone seems to have great ideas on here!
The more you interact with the community, the more the community will interact with you. You have to let people know you exist in order for them to know you do.
Lots of followers does not equal lots of critiques. Most people only look and say nothing. Those who do say something will say something positive not negative because we cannot judge a persons motives or their projects. If you want critical evaluations on your photos, this is not the site for it. This is a very social site. Build friendships by participating and being active. People will find you in time.
I agree with @indiannie_jones, start uploading photos. Then, as @soxfansara said, interact with the community.
I am kind of new here too, I've been here less than a month. But if you start entering challenges, looking at other peoples photos and asking for advice I can assure you that you will learn from this experience.
I've seen some people upload pictures and then tagging them as critique-me, that could work. Or maybe ask for specific advise on a photo by creating a thread like this one.
Anyway, lots of help over here =)
Browse others' profiles, find photos and styles that you like, start following others and they may just have a look at your pics...and if they like what they see then they'll follow you too :) take part in competitions/themes when you can, vote for others...as has already been said, this is a very social site!
Upload photos. Follow others. Look at the latest pictures and the other "tags" and comment on the pictures. Participate in the discussions and the challenges. Post your favorite picture of the week. Welcome to 365. Have fun taking pictures and looking at the pictures others take. :)
@coltonbn I just started at the end of May. If you start following other people I have found that they will start following you. Take the time to view their photos and comment on them and soon you will have people checking out your work. Don't wait for people to start following you. Start downloading again and see what happens. I am going to start following you. Looking forward to seeing some of your newer shots
@coltonbn Hi Colton- welcome to 365! I started in Jan. and have had the same experience as bkb in the city. The more discussion stuff I take part in, the more people see my stuff. I picked up the most new followers when I started a photo discussion. Another great place to find followers is to go to the Browse pages, click on photos you like, check out other pictures by that person and follow them. Many times they will follow you back- but you have to follow them a little while and comment on their pictures consistently in order to get their attention. Anyway, I'd be happy to follow you and hope you will do the same for me!
@bkbinthecity That actually is something I was planning to do as we speak. I already have general descriptions that come with the photos on FB (where they are originally posted)
I just started posting pictures last week. I think it's great just to look at all of the cool picture and ideas everyone else has. If anyone wants to look at my photos thats great, but I just love to take pictures and have lots of fun seeing what other people are doing :)
I started not so long ago. I find I learn a lot just by looking at great pics others posted. I FAV and follow them to keep up with their postings. Can't say my own pics have improved that much, but now I am more perceptive to what I personally feel are great photos and try to aspire to these targets...

Oh, and upload photos. That's a bit of a given :)
Welcome to 365!
obviously you are not being followed or following @janmaki , he has no problem critiquing a photo.
Is that a good thing?
People aren't going to follow you if you haven't uploaded any photos to your Project, are they...? ;)
