hello everyone its been long that i was thinking to do something creative this new year 2012. hence i started this project. I have a Nikon D90 with a 18-105 Vr lens.
I would love if you guys can tell me how are the pictures and how can i improve them. I would also like to know a few of you since i saw your work and you are amazing. Its difficult here in India to capture things as everyone is so tensed when they see you clicking them. Need an advice on it and also how can i improve my work.
Hello, everyone! I'm Pamela Long, Spanish and French professor from Alabama (USA). I travel frequently and I enjoy taking photos of things "tourists"might not think to shoot. I do not have a lot of expensive equipment--I have a modest Nikon Coolpix P90. I don't mind editing once I have the photos out of the camera but I could use some suggestions. I use Corel Paintshop Photo editing software. I like shooting botanicals, trees, buildings, street scenes.
Hey, y'all....I'm a newbie here too; this 'project' sounds like a load of fun, and I'm anxious to learn some new techniques, find some inspiration, and meet some new shutter-bug friends! Hope you ALL have a very picturesque 2012!!
@pamela2012 If you are a professor with an ".edu " email you can get a discount on the Adobe Photoshop website. I got my Photoshop as an adult student. I think it's called an educational version, but I'm not sure about that and mine is the same as any other Photoshop Elements I've seen.
Hello all :-) Another noob here, determined to start on the 1st of Jan and complete the project on the 31st December 2012. Just wondering how long the average newbie lasts before they miss a day? I've got to admit that I'm on day 4, it's dark when I leave for work and dark when I get home (the good old UK) and it's already challenging to find new pics around the house.
Hi all, I got a new camera for xmas and thought this the perfect opportunity to really develop my photography by taking a photo every day, it's already a challenge and is making me think of ways to be creative and learn the settings on my camera quicker!
@big_gareth hey timmy that's a nice challenge that you have taken. Since its dark when you get time you can try out night photography. Use lights as your subject and am sure you will see wonders.
Another noob here! Hi :)
I joined because I saw a friend's collection of photos after she finished a 365 project and I thought it was a great way of remembering a whole year's worth of events and thoughts. But, having done five day's photos now, I've rediscovered my love of photography. So, it's already having an effect on me! The warm community atmosphere is a another unexpected bonus.
@dirtyangel Hey welcome! And we have the same camera, I have that kit lens too, check my stuff out I'm really trying to push myself this year in my photography.
Fish tanks - punching water - dropping in paint
Fire - 151 booze in stuff - spinning steel wool (long exposures)
smoke (then coloring it in PS)
Who knows what's next .... I'm excited to see whatthe rest of the year holds for me!
@cameratameracom Thats so nice to hear that we both share the same camera and the interest. You really got some great stuff. I checked it out. would be great to follow you. Will try my best this year. Hope you also complete this with flying colors
