I completed my project in 2011. I looked over my archive of photos and in the last year I took 18,227 pictures for a total of 51 GB. Not all of these are keepers, but a lot went through my camera.
@sdpace Oh, snap, that's what I have - an Iomega 500GB. Yeah, it's full. I need to move some things around to move some things so that I can back up some things and move some things. ;)
I have to get organized - I am quite sure I have duplicates and even triplicates. I also need to get more selective about what I save and what I shoot. I am not a pro. I neither need to take NOR save 200 images a day. Not that I do. But still.
I've been considering getting a 1 or 2TB :D I've only had my DSLR since August, so whatever my number is will not be anywhere near what my 2012 number of pictures will be.
I topped off just under 100,000. I don't remember the total count, they are spread between 7 TB total of external harddrive. But I shoot weddings for a living, thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it ;)
24198 !! Oh dear, very scared that my shutter will give up the ghost before the end of my 365 project now, it's well past some of the projected shutter actuations quoted online. I can't help myself; snap, snap, snap!
My 2011 total was 21,937 (counting the 65 that I took on January 1st, 2012), since I started my project on the second. Definitely filled up the harddrive on my poor little netbook and am considering getting a desktop mainly for photo storage and processing!

My December 2011 images folder: 5.96GB, culled down considerably from the original 12.7GB.
I need to slow my roll. :)
