@brumbe - i tried iris after you mentioned it last week - had fun editing a photo of a friend with, as I recall, crayon filter and a caption. It t urned out well and she really enjoyed it.
Slow shutter is what I used for my light painting shot today and Crayon Craze is what I used for the funky colorful shots on Mon, Tues and Wed... All in my Themes and Challenges folder. Color Effects and Dash of Color for selective color. And Tiny Planets and Zombie Booth for just plain fun! I also have used Pic Collage when I had no computer access and wanted to do a collage for 365. Also Pic Transfer is my favorite way to transfer pics from my iPhone to my computer...way faster than emailing them, which is what I used to do. I usually do most of my "serious" editing in Picnik after I upload.
I use Instagram and Hipstamatic. Filterstorm is a nice editing application also. my Fave video App is 8mm. I was messing around with that app for a good amount of time. http://youtu.be/0nd0HhTz9w0
Hipstamatic is the best in my opinion! If you search the tags on 365 for Hipstamatic, you will see a large variety of photos taken with the app. I've been using it since it launched a couple years ago and I'm still not tired of it.
My favorites are Hipstamatic, Diptic, Snapseed, Phoster, Percolator, and Halftone. I almost always go straight to Hipstamatic for everything and use the others for editing.
I like Plastic Bullet for the pure random genius of it. It was free when I got it... not sure about now. I also like the Adobe Photoshop app for basic stuff. For video, I love 8mm.
On another note, all photogs should have VelaClock Classic. This gives you sunset times, moon cycles, and all that wholesome lighting goodness!
I have Instagram, Hipstamatic, Snapseed, Photoshop Express, Pic Stitch, Color Effects, SkeakyPix, and more... (Although those listed are the ones I use most, and are arranged roughly in order of frequency of use.)
I love my i phone apps, i have hipstamatic which is cool, i love instagram use it all the time, those are my two favs, but there are lots that i have tried for a bit, good to play with a few then choose your favourites :-)
i love the photo apps on my iphone. my favourite is hipstamatic, but for editing i just love photostudio and camera bag. As a few of you mentioned iris I thought I would give that a go, but cannot find it unfortunately. I have slowshutter but am not really sure how it works as my pics are not doing what I want them to do, I will have to try again. I will definitely try some of other suggestions you've made - thanks !
I've been enjoying Pro HDR for a few days. You'll need a little patience, having to hold the camera fairly steady for perhaps 10 seconds, but I'm loving the results.
