I was just wondering if anyone has ever used this site, or has even heard about it.
For you who don't know its a site where you can rent cameras and lenses for a period up to 4 weeks. It seems pretty cool, and I think I might use it to rent out a fisheye for a week or something because I would love to own one but I don't have the money at the moment, and lenses are big purchases so it would be nice to try out the lens before I make the huge commitment to buy it.
So anyone have any experience with this site or any other site like it?
god if only there was one here in france. it's hard to find 18-55mm lenses at a fair price. all the used retailers dont carry them as they say theyre cheap and no one buys them. cheapest stuff is 500 euro here($700) :/
When we went to NYC two weeks ago, we rented a lens for the weekend from Adorama Camera. It was only $22 for the entire weekend. We just picked it up at the store since it was located near our motel. But I believe you can rent them by mail. We were happy with their service. And it was really nice to try out a lens. I want to do that with a couple I'm interested in, too.
Borrowlenses.com gets five stars out of 189 reviews on Yelp. I looked over the website. they have a great selection and the prices look reasonable. I can't wait to give them a try. I think I'll start with a Canon 135mm f/2.
