I just renewed my annual subscription, and I wanted to remind the newer folks here - the $20 USD goes a long way in helping @scrivener maintain the site. The subscription to Picink is worth it alone, and having extra space to host your wonderful photos is terrific. Not to mention the cutie ACE badge, goes with any photo attire. Support the community that supports you!
This PSA was produced solely by me. I approve this message. Let's move on.
@emsabh Actually, I might be. :D But, yep, Ace is the way to go. I wish you could double-ace. Some of us have a hard time restricting ourselves to three albums.
@emsabh
Picnik subscription? Am I the only one who doesn't get this?: I understand that folks are allowed to edit photos on here via picnik once they have gotten an ace account, but, they are getting the extra paid features of a picnik account. Unless, I'm completely missing something.
@emsabh yes i know that...but picnik is free anyway. It's just that a few people have implied that they had the premium version of picnik through their ace membership rather than the free version which is what I had before I paid extra (to picnik itself) for.
@lluniau Oh, sorry - that I'm not sure. I had not used picnik until I subscribed to the ACE membership. Maybe someone else might know - @brumbe@autumneden do you know if the 365project ACE version of Picnik different than if you go through the picnik site directly?
@lluniau@mej2011@emsabh I have to say one of the reason I signed up to ace (as well to help Ross) and to get additional albums, because I was lead to believe (reading on here) that you got the premium version of picnik
@lluniau I signed up to ace, but I can see no way of getting premium picnik, unless I am stupid ? I've tried uploading a photo and then editing it via the picnik link and still got the basic model.... I didn't even get an email thanking for the payment and introducing ace membership and guidelines etc (which would have be nice !)
@emsabh@lluniau I hear it is the same picnik that I get through picasa for free. I rarely use it. When I went ace I do not recall getting a different email about it.
@cookie123 I was sorta kidding...the "ACE" symbol appears next to your name when you post. Sorry :-) @sharonaddison@lluniau I did get an email confirming the membership last year as well as today when I renewed. Finally, Elin is right - you don't get the premium version, but I do appreciate the script that allows the 365 photo to go directly to Picnik and then back, without having to upload/download/upload manually. Mostly cause I'm kinda a lazy bum.
@lluniau Yes, I thought I would get the piknik premium membership and was a bit disappointed it wasn't included, but at the end I love this site and happy to support it. :)
@yogibari@lluniau oh I wouldn't not have my ace membership just because of this - I signed up after about 5 days of being on here - I don't want it to finish....I love the site and am happy to pay for it
@lluniau Just read your comment. I have picnik through ace and also uploaded but still don't know how in the world you can correct a horizon line in picnik unless you make the picture smaller and that way take than line away! is there another way??
Woohoo!!! Thanks for the post @emsabh. The only real reason I continue to upgrade is to support Ross and team. I have learned a lot through this community and I am proud to be an Ace member.
Keep it up, Ross!! @scrivener You may want to replace those "magic photo monkeys" though, just sayin'.
