I have two questions, I really would like question #1 answered so I can download my next day's pic's.
1)
I would like to make a collage in Picnic - (I know I've done it in the past) but I can't find the section that has collages. Did they delete this since Picnic is going away?
2)
I don't know what I'm going to use after Picnic goes away since it's not in my budget to pay for a fancy photo processing package. What suggestions do you have.
under Library, you click Start! and it takes you to the screen that has collages. As for another program, I can't answer that...I got my fancy schmancy adobe stuff with a student discount for very cheap...
I use photofiltre they have a ton of collage templates.. I do a lot of collages if you want to look at my main album to see if they would work for you..
photofiltre is a free edit program I downloaded from this website and I have never had any problems with virus or the like http://photofiltre.en.softonic.com/
Photoscape is a free download. I use it a lot. Picnic is going to be in Google+, at least parts of it. I've already used it a little there just to start getting used to it. I really hope they put more of Picnic in there, though.
@sdpace Thank you for explaining how to find the collage in Picnic. I was able to do so although I am still learning how to compose a good collage.
@crickle1969@brumbe@nikkers@cjwhite Thank you very much for your software suggestions. I will have to check out Picasa, I have avoided that program up until now since it downloads ALL of your photos (I believe) and I have SO MANY! I will also have to check out photofiltre I am not familiar with that one at all. Well below is my end results of the collage. I'm semi satisfied with it since I know it could have been done better (I'm open to suggestions if you have any but I know that is technically a different thread).
Thanks again.
@nikkers In Picnic you can do Vignette in a collage? I think I am going to delete this one and just use one of those flowers for my pic of the day - LOL. I'm just not satisfied with the results.
I am on Google+ and have received a zillion emails about Picnik closing down. There has been a lot of talk about alternatives and most have suggested:
Fotoflexer
iPiccy
Photoshop Express
Pixlr
@myhrhelper You would use Vignette on each photo before putting in collage. I would use and odd number of photos vs the 4. I just like odd numbers. I like the black background.

I would have used a vignette so the borders look a bit less harsh with these angles ..
IMO
