So I'm new to this, hi, I'm Amy *waves* and yesterday I took the first photo I've actually been proud of, like proper, want to show you Mum proud. (For the record, I text her)
This isn't the best photo ever taken, and hopefully won't be the last photo I'm proud of (my poor mother!) but it's the first photo my little amateur eyes have thought, yeah, I'm really pleased with that. What's first photo you took that you were proud of? Either when you were just starting off, or even better, when you were at a point where you thought you couldn't surprise yourself anymore?
I would be proud of that too! Very Cool. This is my first try at any type of editing, was pretty proud of myself, though its not that great, I think it was a pretty good first try!
I was really proud of this one as it was the first time that I figured out how to get the exact image I wanted in the dark (because I hate using the flash).
The first for my project was this one. I know I'm going to have something great when I'm already thinking "Wow!" as I'm looking through the viewfinder. This was one of those moments:
I'm sad to say I've only had about four or five of those moments, though! Most of the time its more like "Eh... this might be cool... see how it looks on my screen" or even "Well, at least I took a photograph today" LOL. I wish I could "see" it more often right off the bat!
In terms of 365 this was my first proud moment because it's me in front of the camera. I have a chronic fear of self portraits, plus a feet phobia. Two birds with one stone. I'm much prouder of this shot than I should be lol.
This one, because it's the first one I posted on 365 back in October thereby doing two things totally unlike me: joining something and making a commitment of time and effort (my job doesn't count as it is not a choice).
And this one, because I posted it yesterday, meaning I haven't quit.
Here's one I'm proud of....used the sun for lighting, a white matte board for background/reflector and I layered the two photos together. I got my idea out of my head and into the camera.
This one... I took it about a month into my project and was doing the alphabet challenge. I don't know what happened exactly but something changed on that day out and I improved tremendously and have continued to do so ever since. It almost makes me want to delete my first posts but it is nice to have them there for perspective.
I went through my entire project from last year and couldn't find a single one that just made go "WOW! I took that!" Though I do have several that I really love. This one however was a proud moment for me in that it was the first time I was able to successfully capture the "glowing Christmas tree" with ornaments, etc. also in focus. I am very happy to have learned as much as I have over the past year+ since I began this project from this community. And I continue to look forward to learning even more!
I'm proud of this one as I'm not a big fan of spiders and I had to get really, really close to get this one. Only on day 26, so hopefully will have more "proud" moments when I learn to edit
My proudest moment was actually pretty recently. This is a picture I could not wait to show my family and friends. It was a lot of fun to set up and pointed me in the direction of a new type of photography (light painting photography). I learned a lot from it and look forward to doing more in the future :)
My very first "Oh yay! That rocks! " moment
I'm sad to say I've only had about four or five of those moments, though! Most of the time its more like "Eh... this might be cool... see how it looks on my screen" or even "Well, at least I took a photograph today" LOL. I wish I could "see" it more often right off the bat!
