Have I been very slow in only just seeing the 'Cameras' link under 'Browse'? It's a really fun little extra and I'll enjoy seeing if I can tell the difference between cameras when I get time - or does 'a poor craftsman really blame his tools' (and vice versa)? Can I justify buying a new camera or shall I change to iPhone and stop moaning about the dodgy setting button on my Panasonic G1 (which is NOT a popular 365 camera but is very lightweight for girlies like me)? It's like a huge camera review involving lots of people with different needs/experience - nice one Ross!
I love it! I wish I could click on a specific camera and be taken on a page listing all the users who have uploaded at least one picture with that particular camera.
I noticed that a few days ago too. The most important thing, is the person behind the camera. You can give someone the most high tech camera and lens and still get crappy pictures. Hand an excellent photographer a crappy camera & Lens and you can get some outstanding pictures.
But I agree - the right tools in the right persons hands can make all the difference in the world!!!
Didn't notice myself, but there was a thread about it a few days ago. I like the new feature and I find it interesting.
But I fully agree with @jenp too. There are people here who take excellent and interesting pics with a phone camera. And from a technical point of view, you cannot really use the new function as a review to evaluate what a camera can do, as you don't know which lens was used, the amount of editing, etc...
@jenp@woot@debsphotos@scatcat I agree with Jen for the most part - but new P&S cameras are definitely easier to get good pictures than older technology and you start to see the difference between cameras when you push them to low light, macro, long distance etc. You do only get a flavour from this feature but it's still interesting to see a 'snap shot' (sorry!) of what can be achieved.
I'm looking forward to when Ross advances this link and you can get a full browse of all photos shot on that camera. It will help you see the limitations or lack there of of the equipment you are using. And know who to ask for tips!

Small . the diffrerence hardly shows , but crop or poor light and ,yes, i can see a difference.p
