Canon EOS 450D

I am new to 365 & would be interested in following other people using the Canon EOS 450D. Especially anyone who also has a Tamron 70-300 lense. It would be nice to see what I could aspire to.

I use it. Mainly with its kit lens though. I bought myself a nifty fifty, but I'm yet to get used to using it. I've also borrowed a 25 year old 80-200mm Canon lens. If you look at the exif info if any of my photos on here you can more or less work out which lens I used. If it's 50mm exactly, it's likely to be the nifty fifty. If it's less than 55mm it's the kit lens. If it's greater than 55mm, it's the borrowed one. I hope that helps a little?!

Oops. I can't believe I'd forgotten which camera I owned! I've actually got the 500D. But there's only very few differences between the two...

@fjh I use the canon 400D which is the model before. When I can't be bothered I use a panasonic TZ8...both I think take good photos and capable of doing some creative images :-)

I use one, but not with a 70-300. My 50mm hardly leaves my camera body.

I use Canon 450D/XSi and Tamron 18-270mm ;-)

I use the canon 450d with kit lens, nifty fifty and dodgy 70-300mm. I say dodgy as I bought it second hand and the auto focus doesn't work and I can only use it on it's widest aperture which can mean extra editing to sharpen my images as I get a lot of haze. It's a sigma. Don't think I've used it in this years project but I have in the past and probably will later on but would love a new one.

I have a 450D with a variety of lenses from macro to 100-400mm, all Canon though, most of my shots are ith a Canon S100 as my 450 is to big to take to work.

The 450D was my first DSLR :) I got it as a present from my mum the Christmas before last, I took some surprisingly good images with only the stock lens, I later purchased the nifty fifty and have now upgraded to the 7D and the 1.4 niftier fifty.

It's a great camera (and I sold it to my Auntie, so it still resides within the house! ;))

I shoot loads of weddings and still shoot with 450d with a lens baby on it among my other cameras 7d, 5d ii, have a look at my earlier stuff on here, hope that helps

I have the 450d - i've had it for a few years!

I use the 450d for a lot of my project and my Canon G12 when I'm out and about and unable to lug the bigger one around. I love it and use 3 different lenses on it. Mostly my 50mm but sometimes my 18 - 55mm lens and othertimes my 70 - 300mm lens (like today's shot).

Thanks, I mostly use the kit lense that came with the camera. My 365 pictures have all been on that so far. Once the weather improves I shall probably get out more with my Tamron.

Add me to those with a 450. I've got that lens but don't often use it, mostly in the summer time when my boys are in the sprinkler so I don't get wet. lol. My nifty fifty is pretty much always attached to my camera. Just had a look at your photos and you have some really lovely ones.

Under the 'browse' section of the site is an option called 'camera' ... here you can get a view of a few recent pictures (not sure how those are selected). It doesn't tell you the lens manufacturer unfortunately, although you do get the focal length in the picture EXIF details. You may find some interesting photos.

OK - cancel that idea. I've just looked and the Rebel XSi (same as 450D) is 13th in the list, so no pictures linked. Sorry :(

To be honest I would worry less about what camera people are using, and more about the thoughts in composition, and the techniques they use to get a photo. the 450d is a capable camera and can achieve the results that most other DSLRs can, even with the kit lens. Browse the posts and follow some people whose images and ideas you like, not those who have the same camera as you.
