How are you going to display your 365?

February 17th, 2012
Hello friends! We are all producing some of our greatest images through this process and I think it would be great to display it all somehow! I have seen PS templates and albums for 365 projects but was wondering what all your wonderful minds have come up with! So please share how you have, or intend to share your 365 project with the outside world on something tangible!

Well, most of mine aren't worth displaying, but some of the ones that are will be printed out (most likely 8x10 size) and framed on the wall. I might even make a collage like the ones on this link when I have somewhere with more wall space. http://www.walldesignworld.com/2011/11/05/wall-collage-ideas/

I plan on printing a 100 page hardback book with Aperture. I'm thinking chronological order (to hopefully see how I progress over the 12 months). I've already started laying it out. At the end of the year I will pick one photo from each month for the main page of each chapter and pick my favorite photo of the year as the cover. Will be curious to see which photos I still like 10 months from now.

I did a calendar of last year's pictures (some pre-365) choosing one for each month. It didn't cover all of my shots, but it gave me a feel of it. Plus, my mother really liked one as a Christmas present.

I really like Bob Books in the UK and will see if I can do something with them when I complete a whole year. If my photos get better ;)

I just save all my files into an album on my computer (one pic a day minimum like on here) and print them off sporadically and put them in a photo album with all the details I can think of about them. I didn't feel like it was the same just having the album stored on here electronically it is nice to have something tangible and to show family etc so they can see what you're up to.

I'm uploading mine to four separate sites on a daily basis and am building a site of my own which I'm using to store/showcase my images.
It's early days yet and it's pretty basic. At some point, I shall probably move the site to another provider where I can include scrolling from one image to the next and perhaps slideshows.
This is it; www.everyday.photosbyjester.com
(I don't know how to post a link.)

@brumbe that mosaic is awesome!

@jonesp: that's a great idea, 100 page book though!? how thick would it have to be?

@grecican lol if you will it i'm sure u can make it happen....good luck trying to get a third party to do it for you though...

Since digital photos get cropped to hell when having them developed (especially as an 8x10), has anyone figured out a way to get all of your image in the print?
February 18th, 2012
@jsw0109 Find a place which does real processing, by hand, not by photo booth and specify no cropping. It will cost though!
February 18th, 2012
@jsw0109 Jeff, I don't live in the US so don't have first hand experience but I've heard good things about www.mpix.com. They seem to offer a large variety of sizes so you should not have to crop...
February 18th, 2012
@aoignacio Andrew, 100 pages is only 50 sheets of paper so it's not too thick.

I think I might print a calendar next year with all of my most favourite pics :) will probably make good christmas pressie's too. I'll just have to figure out a way to choose.
February 18th, 2012
@swilde @jonesp thanks for the info!

i use mpix, the quality is outstanding!

Calendar, book for my kids and I am working on one for me. Basically, I cut project up into little pieces
February 18th, 2012
@brumbe that is fantastic!!
February 18th, 2012
my plan is to make a book on Blurb. . .but I must say I've been saying that for quite some time!
February 18th, 2012
@grecican you may need to do some post production cropping, but you can borrow my x-acto
@aoignacio keep your eyes out on livingsocial/groupon places for a book coupon. I figured after a year of a photo a day I would splurge on showing off the work.

Mel
I am putting them into their own folder and plan on making a book either at the end or maybe 2 books with the year split in 2. got a free 20pg book coupon the other day and have done my first month and a half in that to see how it went and im way stoked will def put the rest a book or 2.
February 18th, 2012
I'm planning on making a photobook with all the images at the end of it. I keep my 365 photos in a folder on my computer specifically for this.
February 18th, 2012
has anyone made a PS template for their 365? perhaps for a poster-sized print? and perhaps that they'd like to share? =)
February 19th, 2012
I created a poster using Posterino, which is an app for the iMac
February 19th, 2012
@tinatmmc Ooh, I'd forgotten about Posterino. Thanks!
February 20th, 2012
@tinatmmc wow, love that poster! i need to remember the name of that app!

II'll put my 365 pics in a hard covered book. I had great success already with Blurb so I'll likely use that. I like to layout my own pages but I want the pages to have a certain consistency with each other and Blurb works the best for that, at least from the 3 or 4 sites I tried.
