when you sell prints...

do you sign them? front or back? I'm setting up a booth at our towns art walk on Friday. I've never sold my work before so I have tons of questions :)

when I sell a standard print I never sell it with a watermark or signed on the front, to get a professional look I would design a logo and get a rubber stamp made up with contact details of some sort on it (always good for repeat business and new business from people the customer may show your work too. also very good for if you unexpectedly run out of business cards )

however if I am selling a limited edition print I will always mount it and sign the mount board on the front adding the number of the print (e.g. 1 of 200 )

I don't sign or watermark but I always include a business card. Good luck!

I have a bunch of stickers of which I just put one on the back. It has my business name and website URL.

@paulaag @asrai @cfitzgerald @jinximages Thank you!!

I have buisness cards, so I thought I would stick one in the clearbag in the back. I like the stamp idea, maybe I can get that in time for the event next month :) I did order a few large mats to mount some displays, I like the idea of signing the front of those on the mat board. The rest will be sold as just prints. Wow, so many details to think about!! I'm very excited!

Use mailing labels to put your info on and adhere to the back until you get a stamp.
