The paper I work for lost a journalist at the beginning of the year reporting the war and the man with him, a photographer who is also my collegue and friend lost both his legs. Its a job that has to be done but its not fun to see their faces across the news channels, making not reporting the news.
My goodness, I dont think its an enviable job. They are brave souls and huge kudos to any war photographer, tho I can see what drives them to do the job.
Thank you for this post! It was very powerful. I have learned from working in Mexico, Ghana, Kenya and in 2 weeks, Swaziland, that the camera is a powerful tool. I have been able to raise huge amounts of money for compassion outreach simply by showing my photos. Thanks again for sharing this. May God help us to have compassion on our fellow man.
