This project is not for everyone. Don't feel bad that it doesn't fit with you at this moment. You can always restart if you get the photography bug. ;-)

@esox I believe when you closed your account this pictures will be gone for good. if you just quit uploading your pictures will stay on and should go change your mind in the future you can just pick it up gain and continue.

Sorry to see you go, but I wish you all of the best!

@esox -- I haven't followed you of "met" you on 365 but I have to say that it's okay to take shots just to take shots. Sometimes that happens but I use the uninspired days to work on technique or to experiment with editing. Nobody says every shot you post on 365 has to be a stunning work of art! This is a place to try new things, show what's happening in your everyday life, experiment and learn, grow and be daring. I say...don't leave...just look at your project in a whole new way.

I'm sorry you're leaving, but I completely understand. Perhaps just take a week or two off, and then decide? I nearly ended mine after about 8 months, but then chose to get the full year completed. Don't feel bad, as you can always come back! Good luck.

@esox My advice is: don't leave it. To get over this will make you stronger as a person. This will pass too. Take a photo of whatever, every day, and soon you will forget that you wanted to leave. If you leave it now, you will feel worst. I gave up 2 years ago, and got the feelling I could not acomplish anything seriously. This time I know what I have to do, when the weaknes come, I will pass trough it and will go on. Everyone who has completed the whole year had the same moments, they just worked harder in those moments and went on.

@sheshell exactly hun, I got frustrated on many days, having ME means I'm ill a lot of the time, but i pressed through it and produced my first year, i had a few months off, missed the hobby so much and came back for another year.

It would be nice if you kept them here. I hope you continue, because your pics are good and different again from those in Australia, the USA, South Africa or the Netherlands. The meeting of others in different countries & climates makes it so nice. @HM

Dear all ,
Thanks for the encouragement but I feel I can not take a pic a day I still enjoy taking pictures but want to take pictures because I want to and not to feel I have to,I have not taken a picture now since the 28th. So can not see me starting again after nearly 2 months and 58/59/photos.

@esox there are lots of other projects and forums out there where you can upload when you like or not upload and just comment on other peoples work.these might suit you better.I recommend www.dphotographer.co.uk. The most important thing is you continue to take pics and enjoy it without the sense of obligation to share all the time. Good luck!

Hi all, I have become to realise that I have made a very bad mistake stating that I was quiting the project, why because I have come to realise that I miss being part of this community, I enjoyed seeing other peoples photos from a round the world, I still want to take pictures and get better at it, I have found that some of the shots I took at the week end did not seem as good as those when I was trying to improve on here. I should have worked through my problem when I felt I was just taking shots for the sake of it and got through and over this problem. There is some nice Scenery a round Dorset that I would like to share with you all.
Also I feel I have let my self down not finishing this project( it is a strange feeling), and the people on the 365 project .
Can I come back promise that if I get the feeling that I want to quit again I will work my way through the ups and downs I have taken photos on the 3rd and 4th but could I use filler for the 29th/1stand 2nd?
My plan this time is to try and take pictures of when I am going to or coming home from work with my small compact and at week ends with my Dlsr.
Best regards
Martin

@esox Hi Martin, first of all, as far as I know, the people that post on 365 are all equal, i.e. no one is in charge, so you don't have to apologise or ask permission to come back. There are some fantastic photos on 365 and I like to see them as ones to inspire me rather than make me feel that my shots are not good enough to upload. We are all on our own photographic journey and at very different stages, which means 365 can be a very rich source of information and creativity. I think fillers are fine to upload and have used some fillers recently, either because I had a busy day and didn't take anything or had something in my back catalogue that I wanted to show. Using fillers at times might take some of the pressure off you to upload everyday. Take and upload whenever and however often you want. Comment and look at other peoples photos as and when you want. Integrating the picture taking on your journey to/from work sounds a good one.
Good look and welcome back - though you never really left!
