So I'm doing a visual narrative project in my photo class and I'm needing help coming up with ideas. I don't have much time or very many resources and I have to create 8 images that each tell a different story. Thanks everyone! :)
well - i could certainly use a distraction - but i'm not too sure what the concept is... i gather the image has to tell a story? like photojournalism? can you point to some online examples of what you're aiming for?
@chewyteeth There was a spam post on the discussion above my post, I was alerting Ross so he could remove it - it wasn't anything against the discussion. There are comments like this through all the discussions at the moment if you look because the site is being heavily targeted by spam
@shanne what like, links to other sites. To be honest I don't visit discussions so much, but I thought you were saying there was something wrong with the discussion.
Hannah,
Did you see my recent picture of a male model posing in the doorway of a derelict pub, why don't you dress your models up and take them somewhere interesting and think about narratives.
Think
a) music videos for style
b) films
With this guy at the weekend I was thinking about the style and plots of Nouvelle Vague French new wave cinema, like Breathless where the guy killed a policeman and was running from girl to girl to tap them for money. Thats all I can suggest, maybe thats too style based and your teacher wants more lieteral still lives, like a knife, a shoe and an unmade bed to point at a narrative without poeople, I wouldn't have any ideas about that kind of content.
@chewyteeth yes, a long spiel with links to other sites - but there have been a lot of them across the discussions. Any discussion at the moment is peppered with comments to Ross saying "spam here" or "spam above". The request is to mark where they are so they can be found easily for deletion.
@chewyteeth Thanks for the ideas! I actually have quite a few ideas for photos involving people but I don't have anyone to photograph... It's getting to that time of the semester when no one is available. I need to think of some visual narratives that don't involve people. I'm just not sure what I could do without a person in the photo.
@hannahferrari21
or you can join model mayhem, that is where I get my models from, they work for free but you have to tell them your plans and email them copies of the photos. many students of fashion and photography are on there helping each other. In fact my favourite ever model is in Texas, but she doesn't work for free. You should have a look, this is my profile. http://www.modelmayhem.com/2466228
why is this spam???
spam discussion?
This is legit, I follow Hannah's projects, wtf you talking bout?
I assume @shanne was referring to a spam reply to Hannah's post, which Ross probably deleted! It happens a lot!
ah that makes sense
