You can email your photos taken with a phone so i am positive it will work with an I-pad.
Just go to the upload page and on the bottom it will tell you the email address you will need to upload your photos.
Not sure if it's the same as with the iphone, but beware international roaming...
I recently returned from India and only used the hotel's FREE wi-fi on 4 ocasions but returning home, found out the international roaming seemed to automatically switch on when I did & I was hit with a £800 bill for approx 5 hours usage.! My wife was charged £400...!!
Apparently roaming can automatically switch on if certain apps are used.. It's called 'phantom roaming' and there's quite a bit online about this..
After a bit of an arguement, both bills were reduced by 90%. Still wrong but better than nothing..
i have not ever used flash to upload via ipad, simply email photos to the email addy and then access site thru the browser. i suggest full size on email just in case of a glitch - ipad does not do flash, unless it has changed in last few days. i did it that way the majority of the time last year.
I use my iPad in Australia to upload via email. The your personal email link is on the upload page. put it in your address book. Use free wifi but be careful of international roaming charges
I believe Telstra here sell pre paid sim cards for ipads, so if you are here for a while, you might want to buy one of these rather than risk roaming charges

Andy thanks for letting me know about the 'phantom roaming'
