Software

May 19th, 2012
I would like to get some new software (I really miss picnik) as I would like to make some collages and also add frames to some of my pics. Can anyone suggest something that would do a good job for the type of things I want to do without it being complicated as I don't tend to edit photos much but would like to do the above. Thanks

@rosiekind
Have a look at 'Picasa' or 'FastStone.'
They're both free and will do what you want.
You could also try 'Pixlr' if you want something a bit more capable. That's also free.

The collage in "Picasa" is pretty good and lots of options.

Picmonkey is fantastic free image editing application. It has all the basics...crop, sharpen, focal point etc and then it has a good selection of additional edits and some basic frames. I use it when I'm not at my own computer where I have photoshop.

I have just bought photoshop, but before that was using
photofiltre a free to download program, very user friendly.. I never had any problems down loading it on any of my PC's or laptops..

its from softonic website it had tons of easy to use tools .

as for frames etc I would use photoscape, another free download, and again will no problems.. IE virus etc..
