Im planning a trip into London during the bank holiday after this weekend. Anyone got any suggestions for some good places to go to take some 365 photos where the tourists WONT be. I realise ists a stupid weekend to go into London, but there you go.
I was thinking Docklands and the City might be quiet...
or maybe I should get brave and try some shots of people...!
@boogie Well the day is starting with an open top bus tour, so im sure i'll get quite a bit of that under my belt by breakfast! But where to go afterward when I cant take any more of those pesky tourists?!
Erm, I believe you won't get around seeing tourists and you won't be able to avoid the masses of Londoners on the streets either. It's gonna be a crazy weekend with street and bridge closures on sunday, so be prepared! Usually, the city is quiet but it won't be with the pageant parade this sunday.

I was sick just reading that message, sounds dreadful. I'd be on sleeping tablets to avoid the cockney carnival. If you fancy a break from the self-serving ostentation you could head up to Manchester!
@chewyteeth Haha, thanks for the offer but I will probably have received my new lens by then and will be craving to get some shots of those tourists and the whole carnival, hehe.
And yes, I believe, Brixton might have few tourists. Peckham and maybe Tottenham should have few, too ;)
it's the Jubilee weekend - London will be mobbed with people, locals and tourists.....if you don't want to see anyone I would suggest avoiding the whole city ! Or else, go with the flow and enjoy all the colours and sights you will see with the city mobbed with people !
Just try the odd angles - minimise the people; close up on bunting & just see shadows of people through it. Etc.
(Am assuming you're not a Londoner ... so aren't you a tourist too?)
Highgate Cemetery. There are two sections to it, one is open to the public, the other on Sundays i think, they do a guided tour of the half that is usually closed.
well it seems avoiding the crowds is going to be difficult. If you cant beat 'em, join 'em I suppose! Thanks all for your advice, hopefully something will come out of it.
