Just Wondering

June 2nd, 2012
I am going to my nephew's graduation party this afternoon. It is being held at a local park. It will be indoor/outdoor, probably loud and obnoxious and fun. I, of course, am taking my camera. I was just wondering what kinds of things would you all look out for to photograph other than the obvious goofy grad, candid silliness, posed, etc. pictures?

Look for a quiet moment happening under the radar while everyone else is being raucous.

For me, I always look for the moments that define the mood. Look for the unnoticed. "Perfect moments unnoticed." Helen Levitt

Think what you might want to see if you were putting an album /memory book together... Decorations, the facility BEFORE it is destroyed by the part-goers (;p), the food laid out, maybe even the staff who are catering the event if they are willing / allowed... And the some post party shots of the destruction ;). Also maybe some random crowd shots for context to show how many people were there, clothes, hairstyles, etc - so everyone can look back 20 years from now and laugh... Have fun!
