What do you think of it ? Give me the good the bad and the ugly :-). I want a smaller camera so I can take it everywhere but still want some controll over functions.
Or reccomend me a good smaller camera please :-). $500 or under.
I don't have it. Nor do I know anything about it. But I bought a small Coolpix point and shoot last year, and to be honest I would never go with Nikon again. I thought it was awful. The pictures were okay for a compact but I couldn't get to grips with it and just didn't really feel it at all. I think it was trying to hard to be clever.
I use an L110 and I love it. If you want a good zoom on a small camera, it's impressive. It fits my hand. I can pick it up and get a picture fairly quickly. On the downside it's slow to reset for the next picture and it sometimes just quits when I've got the zoom on and change the settings from say macro to sports. I have to open the battery compartments and close it to reset it. That has been frustrating at times. The sports setting isn't very good. I get lines on pictures when there is bright light and have to edit them out. Sometimes I can't.
So, bottom line, zoom=great, reset time=occasionally slow,sports=gotta watch the light.
Since you are talking about a new model, these quirks may have been worked out. I wouldn't know. But overall, I use the camera and make it work for me.
